Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MelonPosts collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you visit the website, create an account, upload source material, buy a subscription, or use the platform to generate content.
MelonPosts is operated by KP Ventures OÜ. We built the product to turn user-supplied source material, such as PDFs, websites, and YouTube content, into LinkedIn-ready drafts. Because the product relies on uploaded content, AI processing, and third-party infrastructure, this policy is intended to explain those data flows clearly rather than hide them behind generic language.
1. Data We Collect
- Account and organization data, including name, email address, login credentials, workspace details, and records of invited or associated users.
- Billing and transaction data, including plan selection, subscription status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, invoices, payment status, and usage records tied to your workspace.
- Content and input data, including PDFs, website URLs, website content fetched at your request, YouTube URLs and related transcript or metadata content, prompts, instructions, generation settings, and generated outputs.
- Technical and usage data, including IP address, browser or device details, timestamps, log records, cookie or session identifiers, and product telemetry needed for security, debugging, and service operation.
- Support and communications data, including emails, feedback, and support requests you send to us.
2. Where The Data Comes From
- Directly from you when you create an account, upload assets, paste URLs, request generations, subscribe, or contact us.
- Automatically from your browser or device through essential cookies, logs, and security-related telemetry.
- From third-party service providers involved in payments, infrastructure, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery, and AI processing.
- From public pages or hosted media that you explicitly ask MelonPosts to ingest, crawl, or analyze.
3. How We Use Personal Data
- To provide the service, including account creation, authentication, workspace management, source ingestion, retrieval, and content generation.
- To calculate usage, enforce plan limits, process subscription billing, prevent fraud, and maintain accounting records.
- To secure the platform, investigate misuse, monitor performance, debug failures, and improve reliability.
- To respond to support requests, communicate about the service, and send transactional messages such as verification, password reset, billing, and service notices.
- To improve the product, provided that any use remains consistent with our commitments in this policy and our contractual obligations to users.
4. AI Processing And Model Providers
MelonPosts uses third-party AI services to analyze source material and generate outputs. Depending on the workflow, that may include prompts, excerpts of uploaded or fetched content, generation instructions, and output text being sent to AI providers for processing.
We may also use tracing or observability tools around AI workflows to debug prompt behavior, investigate failures, and improve reliability.
- We process user-submitted content only to deliver and improve the MelonPosts service, subject to the commitments made in this policy.
- If we materially expand how uploaded content, prompts, or outputs are used, including any training or model-improvement use beyond current service delivery and internal operational improvement, we will update this policy and, where legally required, provide additional notice or obtain consent.
- You should not submit content that you are not authorized to share or that contains highly sensitive personal data unless you have independently confirmed that MelonPosts is appropriate for that use case.
5. Cookies And Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies primarily to maintain authenticated sessions, remember essential settings, secure the service, and understand operational performance.
- Essential cookies are used for login state, session continuity, and security-related functionality.
- We may use operational analytics, logging, or observability tools to understand errors, request flows, and service health.
- If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar tracking technologies, we will update our disclosures and, where required, provide appropriate choice mechanisms.
6. How We Share Data
- With infrastructure, hosting, storage, and database providers that help us operate the service.
- With payment processors and billing vendors, including Stripe, to manage subscriptions, invoices, and payment events.
- With email and communications providers to deliver transactional messages.
- With AI and workflow providers that process prompts, content, and outputs on our behalf.
- With observability, logging, and error-monitoring vendors, such as Sentry, where needed to diagnose and secure the platform.
- With professional advisers, law enforcement, regulators, or transaction counterparties where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, users, or the business.
7. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and operational need.
- Account, workspace, and billing records may be retained for audit, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Uploaded assets, fetched source material, prompts, and generated outputs may remain available while your workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterward unless deleted earlier through the product or support channels.
- Logs, traces, and security records are typically retained for shorter operational windows, subject to backup, compliance, and incident-response needs.
8. International Transfers
MelonPosts operates across cloud and service-provider infrastructure that may process data in countries outside your own. When we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms where required.
9. Your Rights And Choices
- You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of personal data we hold about you, subject to legal and contractual limits.
- You may cancel your subscription and stop using the service at any time, but certain records may still be retained as described in this policy.
- If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
- To exercise privacy rights, contact [email protected].
10. California And Similar U.S. State Disclosures
If U.S. state privacy laws apply to your use of MelonPosts, we will honor applicable rights requests, including requests to know, delete, correct, and access portable copies of personal information, subject to lawful exceptions.
MelonPosts does not describe itself here as selling personal information for money. If our practices change in a way that triggers additional state-law notice or opt-out obligations, we will update this policy accordingly.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, and you remain responsible for using strong credentials and for controlling what content you choose to upload to the service.
12. Children
MelonPosts is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law to use the service without parental authorization.
13. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the product or by email.
